Shana Farias, DNP, CRNP
Shana obtained a bachelor's degree in Nursing at the University of Scranton. Her nursing background includes hospice, medical-surgical, and post-surgical care. She went on to obtain her DNP from Maryville University, specializing in adult and geriatric patients. She is board certified as an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Throughout her schooling and career, it became evident the impact that pain has on one's quality of life. Shana's Doctorate project focused on improving pain management amongst Hospice patients. During her project, Shana discovered the importance of provider-patient collaboration and education in achieving the patient's desired level of pain.
