MILD Procedure - Minimally Invasive Lumbar Decompression

MPS is excited to offer a new treatment for spinal stenosis causing back and leg pain and fatigue. Many people suffer from neurogenic claudication. When the spinal canal is too small, it compresses the nerves running into the back and legs. Then, when you stand or walk, those nerves “complain” to the brain and you feel pain, fatigue, tiredness. When severe, claudication is life altering, keeping people from standing long enough to even grocery shop and cook. MPS successfully cares for many people with claudication using the standard treatments of epidural injections and medications. Unfortunately, not everyone has long lasting relief.

For those people who need further treatment, Minimally Invasive Lumbar Decompression or MILD is a new treatment available. MILD has been shown to be effective and long lasting. Studies show that the relief lasts at least 2 years. Should you want to obtain more detailed information, please schedule an appointment with our office.
