Jo Anne Andresini, MSN, CRNP

Jo Anne Andresini obtained an associate degree in Nuclear Medicine as well as in Nursing. She went on to the University of Maryland to obtain her bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Jo Anne started her nursing career at John Hopkins Children’s Center working in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit followed by the Pediatric Recovery Room.

At this time she also worked at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Pediatrics. She spent some time with the Pediatric Pain Service at JHH as well which laid the ground work for her interest in pain treatment. She obtained her Master’s as an Advanced Practice Pediatric Nurse and then obtained her Post Master’s as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

She is board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and has enjoyed a long and rewarding career as a family nurse practitioner. More recently, she served the elder population providing primary care to residents at a local retirement community.

While caring for the elderly, she saw the effect pain can have on a person’s quality of life. She welcomed the opportunity to practice within the specialty of pain management  where she can use her expertise to assist patients in achieving greater function while limiting the impact pain can have on their well-being.

Jo Anne is a lifelong resident of Baltimore and enjoys crafting and gardening. Happily married, she has one grown son who lives in Minnesota and a dog named Tucker.
